TLAs (Three Letter Acronyms)
Like the world around us, Toastmasters has its fair share of three-letter acronyms (TLAs). Though the Toastmasters' mission is to improve our communication skills, we still fall foul of using TLAs even in the presence of visitors and guests. (Yes, we are guilty!)
Here are the common TLAs we use, and their meanings (you might even spot some 2LAs and a 4LA or two if you're lucky):

Competent Leader |
the first level of Leadership proficiency |

Advanced Leader |
the second level of Leadership proficiency attained |

VPE |
Vice President Education |
the person who sets the Meeting Agenda and schedules members to fulfil various roles, including delivering speeches. |

VPM |
Vice President Membership |
primary role is to conduct membership building programs, and provide assistance to potential members |
|
VPPR |
Vice President Public Relations |
primary role is to publicise and advertise the club, to attract visitors and new members |
